Add a little excitement to your day with a mystery soap sampler

mystery soap sampler

Let’s face it, in the art of soap making, things don’t always go according to plan. I’ve made my fair share of less than perfect soap. I often experiment with color combinations and new techniques and sometimes these experiments result in soaps that don’t make the cut for their own listing in my shop. The colors may not look as pretty as they did in my head, the scent might not be as strong as I wanted or I might have messed up the design I was trying to achieve. But no matter what the flaw might be, the soap is still perfectly good at performing its duty of keeping you clean while nourishing your skin.

I usually hold the “oops” batches for my own personal use but now I’m offering them to you in a mystery soap sampler at a discounted price. For only $15, you’ll receive a bag filled with five different full size bars of soap adding up to one pound or more. The contents of your sampler will remain a mystery until you open your package but a list of the soaps and ingredients will be included in the bag.

The mystery soap sampler is an exciting way to save money while stocking up on an item you use every day!

Are you a night owl? When your alarm goes off at the crack of dawn (or earlier), do you chronically hit the snooze button in the hopes that five more minutes will magically make you feel rested and ready to tackle the day? Yep, me too.

That’s why I like to keep a bar of peppermint soap in my shower. Peppermint isn’t just a fun scent for the holidays. It’s fresh clean scent is wonderfully eye-opening any time of the year. When 5 A.M. rolls around and I’m faced with another day in the cubicle jungle, a hot shower surrounded by the clean scent of peppermint is just the thing to get me going.

New creation in the Etsy shop: Blue agave handmade soap

Blue agave handmade soap

A few months ago, I wrote about using indigo powder to color soap naturally. One of the batches I tried used a scent called “blue agave.” Unfortunately, the soap design had some issues that I wasn’t happy with. As it cured, the indigo color bled into the white portions of the soap and I just didn’t like the way it looked.

Despite this imperfection, the batch sold out quickly because the scent was out of this world! Blue Agave is a zesty unisex scent featuring notes of citrus, apple, black currant and lily of the valley. One loyal customer says it has the same citrus notes as “Be Delicious” by DKNY.

I decided to remake the soap using a much simpler, one color design and I’m so happy with the way it turned out! It’s made with my favorite blend of olive, rice bran, coconut, palm and avocado oils to leave your skin gently cleansed and feeling pampered.

Freshly stocked: Crisp apple and rose soap

Crisp apple rose soap

Crisp apple & rose handmade soap from Emmet Street Creations

Fall is quickly approaching and with it comes apple season. I love picking apples, eating apples, cooking with apples, and taking pictures of apples. I’m pretty much an apple fanatic. Give me a peck of freshly picked Honey Crisp apples and I’m in heaven. It’s only natural that my love of apples inspired me to make a crisp apple and rose scented soap.

This customer favorite soap features a blend of olive and rice bran oils to treat your skin gently. The scent is a perfect blend of fresh crisp apples and soothing rose petals.

I’ve restocked this soap in the Emmet Street Creations store on Etsy, just in time for the fall season. Give it a try today while supplies last!
